Phnom Penh

One of the best place to go to for good Vietnamese/Cambodian cuisine is Phnom Penh.  Be sure to make reservations or get their a little early, because the place always gets busy!  Their food is always consistently good, and full of flavor, which is probably why they're always busy.

Fresh Salad Roll with Shrimp - A Fresh way to start the meal.

Vietnamese Steam Rice Paste - Topped with delicious shredded vegetables and pork, and other ingredients drizzled with some coconut sauce.

Deep Fried Spring Rolls - Always a good appetizer!

Number 4 - Dry Egg Noodle with Pork, Shrimp, and Sauces.  Served with soup on the side - I highly recommend this dish, its my all time favorite.  Flavors are phenomenal!

Some other dishes that I love!
  • Butter Beef - If you love beef carpaccio you will definitely enjoy the flavors of this dish.
  • Deep Fried Chicken Wings -One of the best!
  • Filet Beef on Rice with Egg - One word "Tasty"
  • Fried  Rice - They make their fried rice extra tasty!
Overall, Phnom Penh serves delicious food, and it is worth visiting.  I know through out this post I've mentioned the word "tasty" a lot but it's only because it is true! They have tasty food!  If you have never been here, you should definitely pay a visit. It is worth the try.

I love fish and chips!  I especially love eating fish and chips when they are fried to perfection! Recently I had the chance to eat some awesome tasting fish and chips at Pajo's! They have some of the freshest tasting fish and chips I've ever eaten.  It beats the fish and chip's that I had in London.  I definitely think that this is a place that you should visit, if you love fish and chips.  I would say that you should just go and see for yourself.

Famous for fish and chips!

Delicious Fried Fish served with Fries in a cool cone shaped bowl - Fish taste hot, fresh and crispy!

Tip:  When eating, don't think about calories, the oil, and grease.  Just enjoy the moment.  Life is short.

Bellagio - Worlds Largest Chocolate Fountain.  Has white, dark and milk chocolate flowing from the ceiling to the floor.
Croque Monsieur
Savory Crepe with Mushrooms, Ham and Cheese
Chocolate Crepe
Strawberry and Mint Gelato - I really enjoyed the mint gelato

I came here for breakfast, and tea.  It is quite a nice place to visit. They have lots of variety from chocolates, pastries, cakes to gelato. I felt so indecisive... I wanted to eat everything!  The food is quite good, I really enjoyed the pastries.   The crepes were enjoyable as well, I enjoyed the sweet fruity crepes over the savory crepes.  The gelato is perfect to have because Vegas is super hot!

Crème de la Crumb Bakeshop

A nice little spot downtown to have some fresh baked goods.  I really enjoyed the lemon poppy seed cake that I ordered.  When I bit into it, it was still warm, and had a nice light sweetness to it.  It tasted delicious.  I would definitely return back to try out their brownies.  They were sold out when I got there.  So hopefully when I go back there will be more!

My Omakase Experience at Tojo's:
When we arrived, we were greeted by a nice Japanese lady, who directed us to the Omakase Bar.  The Omakase Bar is the area where you will get the full Tojo experience.  If you decide to sit anywhere else you probably won't get the full experience, it is just not the same!

Tojo asked if we had any allergies, or if there was anything we don't eat.  We told him that we eat everything!  Tojo then told us that everything that we are about to eat is original, and it is his own creations.  We were happy with what he said, and waited patiently till our food arrived.

What is Omakase?  Well it is a way for you to trust the Chef/Sushi Master and let him decide what you will eat.  The best thing about Omakase is that you don't have to think about what to order.  The food just comes along until you say "stop!"

So here are the images from my Tojo Omakase Experience.
Uni and Tuna - Uni and Tuna Tasted Fresh,  Uni is Sea Urchin
Zuchinni Flower stuffed with White Fish, Potato and Scallop
West Coast Octopus Thinly Sliced
Nice Presentation!
Smoked Canadian Sable Fish
Crab - Taste like Sunomono
Geoduck Cone with Cucumber
Golden roll with Scallops, Salmon and Shrimp, with an Egg Wrap
Sushi with Pineapple, Avocado, Asparagus and Shrimp, Wrapped with Cucumber

Green Tea Creme Brulee - My favorite
Sorbet - Taste like Ginger with some Berry Sauce

People say that Tojo is the one who invented the California Roll, I wonder if it is true.  I forgot to ask him.

Easy Cheese Pizza

Pita Bread with Marinara Sauce, Parmesan and Mozzarella Cheese and Fresh Basil

Ok so  I took a short-cut when I made these pizzas.  I used Pita Bread as the Dough.  The best bread would be a fresh, and soft type of bread such as pita bread or naan bread.  They make excellent "short cut" pizza dough.

So I used Marinara Sauce as a Tomato Base, but you can always use Pesto, BBQ Sauce, Cream Cheese or anything else you feel taste great.  I used a combination of Parmesan and Mozzarella Cheese you can always use, provolone, smoked mozzarella, brie, or any other cheese you enjoy. Then I topped the pizza off with Fresh Basil.  You can add other ingredients if you wish such as:
  • Pepperoni and Mozzarella
  • Cream Cheese as a Base, Smoked Salmon, Capers and Dill
  • Ham and Pineapple
  • Bacon, Mushroom, Pepperoni
  • BBQ sauce, Chicken, Peppers
  • Grilled Artichokes
  • Mushrooms and Cheese
  • Roast Peppers
Basically ANYTHING you want, that you feel would taste great!

Spaghetti Bolognese

Spaghetti Bolognese with Mushroom, Parmesan and Basil

I made delicious  "Al Dente" pasta!

If you want an easy and quick way to cook Spaghetti Bolognese, cook the minced beef, pour a bottle of tomato pasta sauce over the minced beef, and mix well.  Let the sauce simmer so the flavors will infuse.

Then Pour Sauce over Pasta and Mix Well.

You may choose to Garnish your dish with Fresh Basil and/or sprinkle fresh grated parmesan cheese over your pasta.

Bon Appetite!

In-And-Out - Vegas!

My Burger Adventure continues... all the way out into the desert.

The day started out like any other...We were hungry

So we ordered a bunch of cheese burgers

...and a side of Animal Style Fries (From the "secret" menu)

Then we washed down the burgers with strawberry milkshakes! It was the perfect ending to our meal!

In the end we had a satisfying meal, for a very good price, and I would consider going back to In-N-Out for their Yummy Burgers!
