So I decided to post up what I am eating, and what I've bought from the supermarket. Some of the dishes are tasty, but if you're stuck eating the same thing for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it gets quite boring.
- Chinese Porridge a.k.a Congee: I used chicken broth, chopped chicken breast, rice, chopped carrots, cilantro's and spring onions. I added some soy sauce, sesame oil and fish sauce for added flavor. By far the tastiest dish.
- Silken Tofu Strawberry Banana shake: Silken tofu, strawberries, banana, milk and apple juice blended to a smooth consistency. I'll probably try a strawberry-peach-raspberry silken tofu smoothie.
- Hazelnut Chocolate Shake: Chocolate Ice Cream, Ensure (Chocolate flavored), Hazelnut Butter, and milk, blended. You could use peanut butter too.
- Broccoli Soup: Cream of Broccoli, Boiled Broccoli, blended together.
- Butternut squash soup: I bought some pre-made, I decided to add a teaspoon of sour cream to my soup!
- Tomato Soup: Classic comfort food!
- Apple Sauce: Baby food! Well not really, you can buy some, or make some yourself. It's a great way to get some fruit into your diet.
- Oatmeal/Steal Cut Oats: Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal! I will be moving on to Steal Cut Oats in a few days.
- Chocolate Pudding: Well any type of pudding is good, chocolate or vanilla, whatever you prefer.
- Yogurt! I wish we had more fro-yo stores in Vancouver.
- Gelato: Yum! I will be visiting my favorite gelato shops once I am ready to get out of the house.
- I need more ideas!!!
